The Last Dance

The last hoorah, the final go round
Should I continue to dance
Or should I sit this one out
My partner is gone
They keep playing the same old song
And Everyone else has also moved on
With the dance floor clear I finally smile,
I've been waiting for this moment for
quite a while
I slip my shoes off and let my hair down
I place my bare feet onto the ground
I close my eyes and lift my arms
And now I can remember how much I
love this song
I never missed a beat
my heart flowing with my feet
No more anxiety I am finally free
Noone watching judgmentally
I dance and I dance no sitting out for me
The last dance of the night, danced by me
