The Last Star

When the sun hangs still in the western sky
And the last star has passed through the night
When the rain has soaked the last grain of sand and dried
That is when my love for you will die
When the final flocks fly from the north
When my chest heaves no more
Then, and only then, it has finished the race and run its course
