The Last Stride

High school graduation is very near
The uncertainty of the future fills me with fear
Parents and children will be staring at each graduate
The last stride is here

Walking to obtain the diploma is truly no feat
But the realization of such action causes one to fleet
For after the graduation ceremony is over
There is no telling what might come over

Undecided major
No clue what to study
Far from family and home
The freedom to do whatever at my disposal

It is indeed very clear now
That the last stride is here
