The laughing clock

The laughing clock has a child's face
with tomorrow hidden away. It's
always happy & it never thinks
about another day. The hands are
broken & it's never early or late.
It has a secret that only youth can
relate. It lives in a nest where time
is at rest.
The laughing clock has a look that
age couldn't erase. Never a tear
or a wrinkle, it lived in a perfect
place. Time didn't exist even though
it would persist.
The laughing clock has a door that's
closed night & day. There is a private
celebration that began when the
homeless moon & an empty sunrise
lost their way. It was the beginning
of a permanent state where freedom
is the pinnacle & time doesn't dictate,
