The Leaves of Fall

You see them dancing through the air
Sometimes alone and sometimes with a pair.

They float around without a care
With the birds in the sky, the world they share.

How amazing the view so high in the sky
Until safe on the ground they soon will lie.

A life not yet over as they fall from the trees
In radiant colors of whatever they please.

Soon to be in white blankets over all
For now they dance freely, oh lovely leaves of fall.
