The Let Go

I'm a shattered fragment of a shattered fragment
Lost a girl I thought she never throw me
I threw her
I thought I knew her but I spewed her out of me
After this
The smile in my eyes & the sparkle in my lips
It was taken
She took it
She took my soul & my silly first kiss
Not just my first kiss she was my first hand to be held
With each finger interlocking with one another the
way the zipper on your favorite jacket does
& never lets go
Oh but we let go
We let go

Now the two people who entered this battle
A bit of each other
I'm one fourth the person I was
I have centipedes for fingers & a frightful persona
Is empty
I Once filled that void.
Now I am the void.
