The Lies We Tell

I do not know love without violence
Why can I not distinguish them?
These years have taught me that hits equal love

You taught me this without knowing
After every blow, you claimed to love me
I know it's wrong but I still believe in you
I want to hate you with every fiber of my being
But I can't

Why did you say you loved me when it's clear you didn't?
You messed me up
And still you lie
For once be honest with me
I can no longer protect you

Tell the world what you did
No longer my word against yours

If you ever loved me, tell the world what you did
