The life we led

The playground and the cherry tree, love and family,
we left thee.
For a future uncertain,a life of gladiator,
someday a victor or slayed as a traitor.
We know nothing but a moment's life, glimpse's pride.
Here doom walks with long thundering strides.
The days we saw,the blood that shed,
our scars show the life we led.
Walked on thorns but kept on breathing.
Challenging the devil to keep the flag flaring.
The friends we mourned, the people who died,
for them the heavens grieved and cried.
Long we struggled on our deathbeds,
our scars show the life we led.
some headed to the victory some to their graves,
Some tricked the Hades, some hid in caves.
We were the lucky ones, for our graves we made.
Our scars show the life we led.
Battle scars adorned the lion hearts.
A new world for the mankind we made.
Good lad! Our scars show the life we led.
