The Light That Flickers

It seems as though
The light that flickers
Holds more power
Than a luminous bulb
That flicks on and off
At the will of a superior being
The light that flickers
Does not let some other force
Dictate it's movement
But waivers in it's decision
To either light up the world
Or letting confusion settle
Into the darkness
The light that flickers
Will hold more power
Than one thousand morning sunrises
As they are steadfast and sure
It will hold itself upright
Until someone decides to unscrew it's power
And silence it forever
