The Light

The darkness surrounds me,
In the black and the grey,
I've always been alone,
All the lights stay away.

Nothing white, nothing orange,
Has been in my view,
Like my eyelids have been stuck,
Together with glue.

This has been normal,
For weeks after weeks,
Only seeing the black, the grey,
My mind now so bleak.

But then one day I see it,
I see the pale light,
The unfamiliar taste,
But such a beautiful sight.

The light surrounds me,
In the white and the orange,
And now I realize,
For once I'm not alone.
