the likes of you

I will not bow down to the likes of you
The ones that bullied her, yea that took it tole
That's why she hung herself, yea you broke her soul,
let not forget she was just 10 years old.

I will no bow down to the likes of you
The ones that protect white supremacy but
try to tear down a black man work.
The ones that's trying to keep all the Mexicans out
because they "take your jobs",
yet your people won't do any of those jobs.

I will not bow down to the likes of you
The ones that keep the stereotypes alive of be a nigga boo hoo
with your guns and gangs yea black men I'm coming for you too
Now black women don't smile cause you lies aren't true.
See it pains me to have to say this to you but honey we're part of the problem too.

I will not bow down to the likes of you
Because my mama raised me to be strong and true.
We've got dumb asses in office
The press are complete fools
We've got mothers losing their children
Fathers not protecting their kids
Teens ain't going to school no more
And the cops scaring our neighborhoods.
Now we bitch and wine that we're not treated equally,
but i don't think that means you take it forcefully.

I will not bow down to the likes of you
Instead i will raise my kids to be careful and strong.
My daughters to be loving queens
My sons to be manly kings
I will teach them to walk with heads held high,
hearts to the sky and minds that fly.
So no matter their color or sexuality,
They will stand tall, be strong and work for what they want.
They will sing and dance and become doctors and lawyers,
artists, magicians, teachers and students but one thing they will never do
IS BOW DOWN TO THE LIKES OF YOU.
