The Lost Kid

Frightened of the unknown,
The lost kid looked around.
Surroundings unfamiliar to him,
Mayhem in the background.

The sounds of other crying;
The lack of mother too,
Made the poor guy overwhelmed,
And in a corner withdrew.

A sudden distant sound;
Familiar in its ring.
A happy little dance;
A song his heart did sing.

A glimpse among the crowds;
A sight that made his day.
And to his mother he ran,
Bleating all the way.
