The Lunar Ocean

I lost you
When the moon bled
Into the ocean deep

Tiny lunar sparks
Reached the untouched
shedding light on the unseen

I took a seat
On the broken bench
By the water
Trying to see
But the moonless sky
Made it harder

I kept silent for a while
And thought of the little gleams
Drowning my memories farther

The smoke flew away free
As I exhaled it out of my mouth
Nothing much was there with me
A broken watch, some cigarettes,
A lighter

With no moon
The next nights had to be darker

I didn't know
If I could take it any longer

But I just watched the silver ocean
Setting another cigarette on fire
