The Man I Meat

One day upon our roof he sat.
I looked at him, he tipped his hat.
What happened then I can't explain,
My heart had felt a shock of pain.

This shock of pain was not of hurt
It was a shock of love unburnt.
It was so strong, my heart had felt
A burning love that made it melt.

He was so gentle, and so kind
My little siblings he did not mind.
He had a heart so sweet and strong,
And to that man I write this song.
