The Man Over the Creek

I often pondered the thought of the man over the creek I practiced hesitance, though I was tempted to seek

He hunted for efficiency and nothing less
I searched for years of growth, in experience, a swiftness

A vivid dream of it I came to see
Although It was horrific because it did not include me

It was not I who could consumed the knowledge
This much was clear
It was not I the man sought to acknowledge
Our notion became evidently queer

Voices warned me to wary, for I was underqualified
I told them dedication cannot be quantified

Many will create dispute
Words will eventually speak
But denied will not be my pursuit
Of the man over the creek
