The Man with Many Hats

He's a son to Bailey
A father to Amy
A brother to Jamie
These are his responsibilities daily

He's a friend to Tom
He also has a son
One son and two daughters
And there's one more boy to come

He's a teacher in the morning
He's a student in the night
He goes to church on Sunday morning
Then he runs his business at twilight

Twice a week, he's on the lookout
Trying to stop crime
He cooks, he cleans, and he cares
He works hard for every dime

There are 24 hours in a day
Where does he get the time?
He's a man with many hats
But he puts on one at a time

This Poems Story

My college experience inspired me to write this poem. I am currently a senior, a full-time athlete on the men's varsity soccer team, an employee in the center for academic success, and president of the entrepreneurial team while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Also, I am an active member of my church choir. I wear many hats and I have many passions, but I keep reminding myself that there's time for everything.
