The Man with No Shoes

A man lay on the sidewalk,
He wore no shoes,
Hair was a mess,
Dirt and bruises covered his face.

He wore no shoes,
I walked over to him.
Dirt and bruises covered his face.
I held his hand while his heart stopped.

I walked over to him,
His hair was a mess.
I held his hand while his heart stopped,
He told me I was the only one that treated him with kindness.

Hair was a mess,
I noticed when I walked over to him.
I shed a tear, he said I was the only one to treat him with kindness.
A man lay on the sidewalk.
