The Masquerade

Truth be told or not,
People get hurt.
Truth be told or not,
People stop your blurt.
They know it is true,
Because they can't disclaim.
They know it is true,
Because they'll never proclaim.
So when will be the end of this masquerade?

Cheap talk comes and goes,
Like some change in a marketplace.
Cheap talk comes and goes,
Like a blind man in a maze.
Why should it be of surprise?
Everyone tells you to keep on the disguise, or pay an unfair price.

Why are people so miserable?
Yet look at one another with a look so despicable?
Undeterminable future,
Yet expectable.
We don't pay mind to our actions' consequences,
Notwithstanding our immoral expenses.
Why are we this way,
Why are we at this point of dismay?

This Poems Story

It\'s about how people silence those who speak the cold truth that they are unable to accept, be it on a personal level, or a general level. People put on a disguise of ecstasy to hide the truth from others and first and foremost, themselves.
