The Meaning Of Christmas

I simply cannot by mere mortal words give enough praise
To describe the glory that the birth of Christ does raise
I simply cannot by mere mortal words give Christmas its due
If only God would give me a few more words or thoughts new
It is above and beyond any ability or effort on my part
To find just the right words even grand enough to start
For every word or phrase comes off far too mild or meek
No matter what I say or write I still think it's weak
I've tried in vain to accomplish this impossible endeavor
To describe the glory of Christmas by being witty or clever
Any words I use to honor, fall short, unequal to the task
For the full meaning of Christmas is far beyond my grasp
The pure love shown by God in giving his only begotten son
Stands by itself for all eternity, a blessing, forever done
The meaning of Christmas I can only express deep in my heart
Because inner Peace and Joy alone describes Christmas in part
