The Mighty Flagpole
Standing above me
A tall and firm limbless tree
Wears a flag, mighty
Waving back to me
A steady wind helps me see
Pride in my country
Oh, Mightiest Flag
God, as You look over me
Blessed, I hope to be
A tall and firm limbless tree
Wears a flag, mighty
Waving back to me
A steady wind helps me see
Pride in my country
Oh, Mightiest Flag
God, as You look over me
Blessed, I hope to be
Key Words : mighty, flagpole, tree, limbless, pride, American

This is a triple haiku poem that came to me during an afternoon break. I had to jot it down right away. It represents my appreciation of the American flag.
