The Monster

My life was nearly ruined,
The scares they still remain.
A monster has been captured,
I've strapped it up in chains.
I will stay it's mater,
My words it will reap.
My actions hold it tightly,
My thoughts sing it to sleep.
Some days it's not easy,
It's hard to stay strong.
You fight amongst the madness
And sing the monster song.
Striving for the future,
Don't cut yourself no slack.
When your looking in the mirror,
Don't let that monster stare back.
