The Monster Inside Him

Feeling baffled and bewildered with a new special diet,
The wolf howls at the moon while the man lay quiet,
His memories draw blank his actions unclear,
He knows not who he is or the ones he holds dear,
All he has is the night that surrounds him,
The actions he takes now go out on a whim,
All he feels inside is hunger,
He knows as a wolf he will not be a monger,
The food he craves wont be on a menu,
Now he must gather to his own venue,
He heads to the village on the cloudy night,
He wakes a family with a monumental fright,
Tearing and biting at meat and flesh,
The child his favorite tasting so fresh,
Now out of the house and into the dark,
He finds rest at an abandoned park,
The man wakes to the sun and watches it rise,
The blood on his leg is a complete surprise,
This isn't the first time he has woke with his mind bare,
There is a monster inside but he stays unaware!
