The New year

Goes the familiar click of the clock.
Counting down the minutes to midnight,
When fire works go off and light up the night.
A night when at you heart love tugs,
And everyone waits for someone else's warm hug.
A time for new beginnings,
And a time for less crying.
A time to forgive and forget,
A time to release others for hate's everlasting dark and fiery pit.
And even though you past mistakes are always near,
They can be left and forgotten at the beginning of each new year.
