The Night

The night, tranquility's most fervent harbor,
Daylights love and daylights rival.
She walks the earth whilst we all slumber
Amid our dreams full of desire.
With so much grace yet so much power
She calmly silences our inner thunder,
Grants us peace and ends the fire
With softest touch, with voice of lyre.
With barest kiss with Godly bliss
With words that sooth, uplift, inspire
And sweetest whispers, like those of a consoling mother.
