The Night Before Chemo
'Twas the night before chemo
and all through my head
Thoughts ran amuck
And most led to dread
Spent the day taking steroids
Two with breakfast and two after dinner
Really, one must finish all treatments
To beat cancer and be the winner!
What did they tell me to take with me tomorrow?
Comfy clothes, lemon drops, something to keep my feet warm
I am sure this whole process will surely take form.
Lucky for me I really like the doctor and his staff
They have a lot of heart
Let's just hope
That I don't fall apart
Six rounds of chemo, three weeks in between each
Kill the cancer
Chin up, let's go
God, I pray this is the answer.
