The Night Visitor
Laying next to you, our hearts beat as one.
The moonlight has engulfed us and the day is now done.
Your soft lips whisper sweet nothings in my ear,
as if thru my heart your eyes can peer.
A midnight kiss, leading to the morning hours.
A touch so soft, like spring time showers.
Your eyes gleam with lust and desire,
as the passion between us burns like fire.
Our bodies pressed close to one another,
the way your arms embrace me is like no other.
Now the sun is rising, and dawn is here
asleep next to you, I have only one fear.
A fear that perhaps maybe this is not real,
but regardless I cannot deny the way I feel.
Even if you are only a dream at night,
forever with you I will lay until daylight.
