The Nightmare

As you go to sleep you say goodnight.
For little children its such a fright.
You see light that flashes before your eyes.
Fears and sorrows fill your mind.
You toss and turn in your bed.
That one thing that your parents dread.
Down you go with a big fall.
That will make you cry most of all.
You sit there crying loud and clear.
Hoping that your parents will hear.
They rush into the room.
Comforting you from your gloom.
They tuck you in tight.
They say goodnight.
Then again you become petrified.
Oh,Boy this will be a restless night.
