The Observed

I walk the path of night

I hide within the shadows of day

I welcome storms of energy

They do their part, and me mine

To keep this Earth alive

I observe the world

I hear the wind whisper

I see the sea sick

I feel the Earth's pain

I taste fire turned pollution

Observing people

They don't know

They can't see

They won't hear

It's their fear

I have answers

To questions never asked

I speak unnoticed

Seem to be invisible

As I fall into future ruin

I envy them

Yet I'm disappointed

They have little worries

They will walk through life

Never knowing the truth
