The Obstruction

Who are you to do this, to strip my life from me?
My life wasn't yours to take away, it was God's who already knew me!

You may have thought I wasn't alive,
When you decided to abort me.
It wasn't just my life you ended,
But all the generations after me.

You turned against God, you destroyed His plans for me!
Just who do you think you are!

Do you think I was numb from the needle,or paralyzed from your hands?
I heard the cracks and felt some bones break,
But the scariest of all:
My being suctioned out at the end.

And what about you now, do you feel any regret at all?
My life ended abruptly, and your life goes on and on.

You took me away from what could have been,
You may even have come to love me.
There's only one thing I ask of you,
If there's a next time, please stop, and first reach out to our Lord.
