The Ocean

By Birdie

The waves are crashing on the beach
And spewing foam afar,
And seagulls lifting on the breeze
Dive to the place fish are.

The dolphins leap into the sky,
The turtles swim below,
A dozen sharks may swim right by
And I would never know.

The corals mount like palaces
From the ocean floor
For the fish that live in them
And to a shark’s great bore.

The finest sands make up the beach
And salt water makes the sea,
I love the breeze, the birds, and fish,
And all that’s from the sea.
