The Ocean Fall

Black roses your hands
where I dreamed I could live,
but your soul is so brief
as so brief is my hope.
I've had sand on my feet
'cause I found the ocean fall
when I hadn't to seek.
Not all was dim in the assault.
I saw an angel in the abyss.
He lit me up in the fault
of being.
