The old dirt road

Last Saturday I was driving in the valley
something told me to turn down this old dirt road
there was magic to see
i stumbled upon the most beautiful, peaceful sanctuary
a million different shades of green were staring
back at me
i felt like an intruder as i walked slowly onto what
I had found
the only sound I heard was waking birds
and the flow of river flooding into the ground
the only thing i see is yellow sunbeams rising through
the trees
up in the sky so blue an eagle circled me in love
while gliding through the early morning breeze
an eagle has always been dads way of showing himself
to me when I was in need
its in moments like these when you realize you have
to let go
let go of all the things you are always trying to
what will be will be
stop and pay attention to universal synchronocities
and know that forward is the only way to go
looking back will only pull you off your destined
old dirt road
