The One I Call Home

I walked beside the hidden trail,
That left me crossed and oh so frail,
I kept walking until my knees gave way,
I found my balance and walked away,
I listened to those velvet cries,
Of those damned broken angels and demon skies,
They left trails of broken souls and bone,
It's been a century since I've seen home,
Please listen for my heart that catches,
On broken souls and scarlet ashes,
I lost my love to the one that heils,
I miss her lovely brown curly hair.
