The Other Woman

She watches him walk away, afraid to ask for more
Replaying his last words, desperate for proof that she is more than his whore The discontent and secrecy leaving her heart sore
The thought that her turn may never come shaking her very core
She knows what’s at stake and wouldn’t want to start a war
But wishes her feelings were not always subject to a closed door
She knows their love is forbidden but she has never felt this way before
She toys with the thought of walking away but cannot resist her lover’s lure He needs me just as much as I need him, she rationalizes even with the threat of blood and gore
She is the other woman stuck in his fantasy and banned from his world after four!
