The Pain in My Heart
Like the ache of sore bones after sleepless dark nights,
Or the throb of your arms after losing a fight;
Both these things can describe the great pain in my heart,
From the constant endeavor of “doing my part”.
Am I wrong to just want to be heard and set free?
Can you not for just once use kind words in your speech?
I love you, but you cannot see through my eyes.
You’ve surrounded yourself in your bubble of lies.
So the pain in my heart as described up above,
Comes from knowing these facts as you say I don’t love;
Always telling me I’m never doing my part,
All these things all the day cause this pain in my heart.
Or the throb of your arms after losing a fight;
So the pain in my heart as described up above,
Comes from knowing these facts as you say I don’t love;
Always telling me I’m never doing my part,
All these things all the day cause this pain in my heart.
