The Perturbation of a Broken Mother

The bottles of booze that littered her hell
Cracked her porcelain skin
To reveal her craven insecurities

Perturbation crawled up her throat
And forced her to wail
For a love she never had

She blindly pawned her children’s necessities
On poison
To feed the demons that she created

She was broken to pieces
But didn’t want to be
Put back together
