The Phone Call

Fate gave me the courag
to reach out to you.
The night I gave you a call
I was feeling fifty shades of blue.
My life felt meaningless
my confidence shattered.
My soul had been broken
my heart had been battered.
With no where to run
nobody to turn to.
I may never know why
or what lead me to call you.
You were the shoulder I needed
never let my head hang low.
You helped me gain the strength
I needed to just let him go.
You stood up to help fight
my most feared inner demon.
Behind each smile
now theres a reason.
I could never thank you enough
for the friendship we've grown.
I will always be greatful for that day
you answered the phone.
