the place where someone loves you

it is not in your head
it is not in your journal or on a page tucked away in someones desk. its at the grocery store when you have one too many bags, and they take one from you even though their arms too, are overflowing.
the place where someone loves you is in your bed at 4:53am in june, when the birds are chirping and the sun is just peeking out to say goodmorning. and they lazily, through sleepy eyes and half-wakened thoughts kiss you before falling back asleep. the place where someone loves you; is the same place where the world will feel the heaviest when someday, they decide they do not.
grocery stores and concert halls and being tucked in bed will never feel the same as the way they did when someone loved you. laundromats and line ups and even walmart, will never feel the same.

the place where someone loves you. the places where you need to learn love you. fill those places with new memories, new love, for you. find love for yourself in the cereal isle in the grocery store you thought would never stop reminding you of them. find love for yourself in your messy sheets you swore you would never use again. make everywhere, the place where you love you.
