The sun shimmers
Reflecting across the pond,
Making the serene water glimmer.
It rises turning the clouds surrounding it lavender pink,
Making its way into the sky,
Where you may see birds of all kinds soar high.
Ducks and swans glide across the water,
Leaving ripples in their wake,
Paddling gracefully in unison with one another.
The sun is melting into the hills of the west,
I still don't move since I'm watching the beauty of night,
It's something I definitely would suggest.
The stars begin to shine,
Reflecting in the pristine pond,
Who would've thought something so beautiful could be mine?
My eyelids are heavy,
Drooping from lack of sleep,
I sleep and my dreams replay today's events and I sure am ready.
