The Puppeteer

Wrists and ankles imprinted
With the wires of her entrapment.

She pirouettes across the stage,
Slender limbs extended.
Wires dig deeper into her skin with every
Twirl and leap.

With a swift jerk,
She is brought to her knees.

He pulls another and
Her body unfolds like
A piece of origami paper.

He manipulates
Her body, her mouth, her mind.

Then finds her
By her slender neck adorned with
Silver wires.
