The Queen’s Cry

To where to where
has my King gone
with each beat
my heart plays this song
in and out
of each and every day
I have searched
the valley wide
I have searched
by day, by night
this chills developed
in my bones
why has he gone
and left me alone
my heart beating
its song comfort in its beat
My ladies are crying
My jester I left lying
broken down
no desire to rise
My castle is cracking
it is cold
too drafty
my chambers hold no warmth
To where to where
has my King gone
I see him no place
with a diligence, I have looked
...all to no avail
I sit and I wait
I believe that one day
he will hear my hearts cry
It pit-patters this song
to where to where
has my King gone
please bring your joy
back to this place.
