The Quest

Swirling around an incessant quest
The moment a bright soul leaves the nest
Tireless work for a material prize
But somehow we don’t realize
Clutter won’t make a home
In a blink it ends with a stone
You think to yourself
This life is not mine
An ember still smoking behind soulless eyes But there’s still hope, your still alive
The unquenched quest will do its best
To drag you back amongst the rest
The moment your soul will regain its shine
Is the moment that you realize
That the timeless quest is a quest for time
