The Ramblings of Longinus

Here I repose in mire and shame,
Cursed to walk the world:I roam
The spear of destiny bears my name
I pierced the side and broke no bone.
A utilitarian vagabond, meant to lead
A legion that shares my fate
The supply is based upon the need
The wicked world I've grown to hate
People are blessed with forgiveness
I lost that privilege long ago
But they see their life as frivolous
And are apathetic to the value of their soul
Spear in hand, a beatless heart,
"Death,"my general at my side
Though our lives seem worlds apart
My objective is to shape the fate of mankind
Until the insane become the sane
And void and flame become sublime
Until the end, I will remain
Frozen forever in time
