The Road to Recovery

My road it was winding,winding down and down
My future was darkness,darkness my crown

For I've been to the depths,the depths of my soul
But I want to get better,better and whole

I want to recover,recover and be free
To live a life that's normal,the normal I see

I'm now on a road,the road to recovery
The road still is winding,but winding to discovery

I'm working the steps,the steps that will heal me
From one to twelve,the twelve are not easy

My life has gained meaning,a meaning I've searched for
My dreams now surround me, surround me til I soar

My recovery looms nearer, and the nearer it grows
A light shines within me, and within me it glows
