The Rock Cycle

I start as magma,
Under the volcano,
Flowing out through Alaska,

Cooling and crystallizing,
Makes me an igneous castle,
Then with weathering & erosion,
I’m a loose mix of sand and gravel,
I’m sediment, some have spoken,

Then the process of lithification,
Which is compacting and cementation,
I’m a sedimentary rock creation,
Now a mineral rock combination,

Pressure and heat,
Mixes old existing rocks,
Crafts rocks, sheet by sheet,
Now I’m a metamorphic block!

Then the melting,
Which comes in last,
I’m in the beginning.
Now I’m magma,
Just like the past.
