The Room in our Heart

We've clung to each other somehow,
Through storms and through the sublime...
Heartbreakingly bad, heartbreakingly good,
We’ve stood the test of time.

So good to see you here again,
Right where I knew you'd be.
I wander the corridors of our heart,
Find you waiting there for me.

The time will not come when we will part,
There's nowhere for us to fly.
Our residence now is our own shared heart,
Closer than close, nigher than nigh.

Stay with me, stay with me,
Don't be afraid.
All our strife has passed.
Just keep me safe as I wend my way
To the room in our heart at last.
