A massive, winding river lies ahead.
Pacific salmon move upstream to spawn;
they'll lay their eggs within a gravel bed.
Without this practice, salmon would be gone!
The current fiercely beats the swimmers down,
this journey takes its toll upon them all.
Persistent salmon refuse to breakdown.
Most swim on 'spite the roaring river's haul.
Survival means enduring harsh torment.
The school decides it's time to work as one.
Just like the river, salmon don't relent,
no fish shall quit until the journey's done.
Beyond the river hides another trap,
no matter where the rapid runs, there's scrap

The journey of a salmon is a lot like that of humans. An up hill, but necessary battle. There will always be obstacles, persistence is the key.
