The Sacrifice:

Oh! To the Gods!
We no longer want the flesh,
Give us the bones and fat!

Giant alters tower before me;
The ritual castes murky illumination
(Sickly orange).

Here I am!
I walk the linear labyrinth,
Beset by indefinite fear,
Certainly uncertain;

I take a drag to snuff-out;
A venomous cloud hung upon a moment lifts weight from earthly shackles bound by heavenly intent.

A cosmic joke:
I am dragged throughout a fragmented dream, held together by an empty circle.
I laugh until I cry.
