the scarlet flame

a world tinted blue
when an image of you
flickers across my brain
covered by a mask of flame

the blood boils in my cheeks
enshrouding my misery
all that cerulean
vehemently suppressed

with each tear
a howl
with each scream
pain morphs into hostility

feelings of loss
masquerading as feelings of indifference
my thoughts have soured
and now until eternity...

my heart will beat with a fire
as scarlet as the sun
