The Sea of Dreams

I sat on my winding staircase looking out to the sea
I wondered why my mom would never let us be
I know that he needs me
She wants me to see what her heart seas in thee
By day, I must stay
But by night, I pay
For my heart longs to be with thee
But she locks the door
And tells me to see you no more
Yet I still sit and long for you upon this pier
I whisper to the wind hoping it will find its way to you, my dear
As I walk home, I feel fear
As I run to my house, I see your truck
I figure you had no luck
But as I walk in, I hear laughter
My mom looked at me and said, I hope you live happily ever after
You walk over to me and grab my hand as my face gleams
Then ask me to live happily ever after with you on the sea of dreams
